Acts of Kindness
“Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.”
“Kindness in action is sharing a whisper from the universe to someone letting them know that they are not alone on their journey through life.”
~Michelle Keaton- Barrow
I enjoy smiling and being kind to strangers. Especially when they may not be expecting it. Smiling at people is one of my favorite things to do and simply acknowledging that someone is present in a room makes my day. I think that we all get caught up in stress and sometimes feel all alone. I try to connect with people everywhere that I go even if I never see them again. Kind words and a brief conversation may be all that someone needs to get through a bad situation.
Also, just be kind to people without expecting anything in return and provide help when you can. Many years ago, I got a call from a family moving to North Carolina from California. I asked them how they got my name. They said that they called the Board of Education to ask a question about the school system. They asked the person that answered the phone for a referral for a real estate agent. She gave them my name and number. She said that she had called my office one day and that I was kind to her and answered of her questions although I was not able to help her in with her situation. That was our only conversation. Those clients purchase a home that cost a million dollars!
Make an effort everyday to just be kind!
